Dham dhoom Movie Review

After so many hurdles Jayam Ravi starer "Dham dhoom" has finally hit the big screen. It is the last film of our veteran director late Jeeva. His wife Aneez and his mentor P.C. Sriram had took real pain to release the final product. The film is distributed by Ayngaran international and produced by Sunanda Murali and Manohar. All their efforts didn't go in vain as the sympathy wave have already created much hype among the audience and they were now rushing to the theater for advance booking. The biggest question here is Is the film really worth watching ??? To know about it more just read on...

Story:

Gautam (Jayam Ravi) who is a house surgeon is selected to take part in a five day medical conference in Moscow. At St.Petersburg Airport a Russian girl(Maria) cleverly drops her overcoat to gautam. The later scene reveals that the coat has been used by that girl to smuggle some banned drugs. Gautam successfully finishes his conference and will visit the local pub in the evening. There he will meet that Russian girl again, both will get heavily drunk and they dance for an item number. Then our hero unwillingly carries her back to the hotel not knowing how to dispose her off. In the next day morning maria is found murdered and the hero has been arrested for the cause. There comes his Lawyer lakshmi rai... both gautham and lakshmi rai are made to run all over the places in and around the city , chased by a mob of strangers and later by police ppl. In between, our hero narrates his love interest shenba (Kangna Ranaut) in the flash back sequence. At the meanwhile Lakshmi rai too fell for our hero. How Jayam ravi tackles all his problems and whether he wins his lady love shenba is the rest of the story...

Plus and minus:

The photography of Jeeva is too good he had caught all the glimpses of pollachi and Moscow in his own style. The biggest highlight of the movie is Music by Harris jayaraj. All the songs have come out really well. They already have made a box office hit.The Flash back part of the story is bit interesting but it is hard to accept Kangna Ranaut as village girl. Actor jayaram has did a guest role. His sense of humor is appreciable. Last but not least Jayam Ravi holds the real key, he has did all the justice to the gautam role he played.

Overall in the name of a romantic thriller the director has tried to portray a script which don't have much essence in it. But the music and photography holds it back by nurturing it giving audience something to watch...

I don't want to give overall rating to this movie instead i will split it into parts...

For Story & Screenplay 3 out of 10
For Music 8 out of 10
For Photography 6 out of 10
For Star cast 4 out of 10

A descent entertainer, can watch once!!!

Dhoni has spinal cord problem

"Dham dhoom Dhoni" - That's how ppl calling the veteran Indian skipper these days. In recent times the Indian cricket has shown tremendous improvement ever before over the past - all credits should go it's skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni  who he has handled the young bloods of indian  team with his own style of aggression and composure. In  recent series dhoni has showed a little sign of spinal injury. It made him to opt out for the test series against srilanka here at dambulla. Sources says that dhoni is going to get treated for this  spinal problem at one of the leading chiropractic schools in Australia. Actually chiropractic schools are nothing but natural healing centres where the doctors would have underwent personal trainer certification to deal with musculoskeletal problems. Hope our indian skipper will finish his training program  before the crucial series against aussies... We desperately need you back dhoni!!!

Kuselan Movie Review

Direction: P.Vasu
Music director: G.V. Prakash
Cast: Rajinikanth, Nayanthara, Pasupathy, Meena, Santhanam, Livingston, Vadivelu and Prabhu

The much awaited Rajinikanth starer KUSELAN has released recently. It is the remake of Malayalam hit KATHA PARYUMBOL. After a long time our super star has given more importance to the script rather than to his heroic charisma. One can notice the actor Rajini of AARILIRUNTHU ARABATHU VARAI type in KUSELAN. It is a marvellous performance by our super star. At the same time Director P Vasu has been cautious in order to satisfy Rajini fans by including few punch dialogues and fight sequences. Rajini gives a new grammar to friendship by twisting the saying and boasting it like "Matha Pitha Guru Nanban Dheivam". There was a great applause from the audience when he says this dialogue.

Our super star comes in the 3rd reel only but till that there is an excitement among the audience as to know when he will appear. The story line is simple but it is very strong enough to grab the attentions of many. Barber Balan (Pasupathy) lives with his wife Sreedevi(Meena) and their 3 children in a village. He is in huge debt starving to make ends meet. All his crisis suddenly takes a turn over when a film crew arrives to shoot for some song sequences in the village. The hero for the film is Ashok Raj(Rajinikanth) who happened to be the childhood friend of balan. By knowing this all the village ppl kept on troubling balan to give intro to their favorite hero. The chemistry between Rajinikanth and Pasupathi is excellent. I think the character of Ashok Raj resembles our real rajini itself because so natural our super star is fitting into that role. The film is really a majestic tale of true friendship.

GV Prakash has scored an excellent music. Along with picturization if you watch it, i am sure you will have that feel. Especially Rajini's intro song 'cinema cinema' is too good. Meena well fits into the character role of Sreedevi and did all justice that she could do with. Nayanthara pairs up with our super star again after CHANDRAMUKHI. Man!!! She is too hot in the ' Chaaral oh Chaaral' song. She plays as a heroine in that film crew. Vadivelu's comedy is slightly below par but the presence of santhanam, Livingston and others add more fun to the story, especially the tv stand scene. Aravind krishna's camera work is too clever one can notice the young Rajini of ten years back. Last but not least Pasupathy is the real back bone of the story. His performance is marvelous than in his previous venture 'Veyil'. That says all ;-);-)

Overall i would give 7 out of 10 for this movie. A must watch film not only for super star i am saying also for it's script and screenplay.
